Each session is carefully prepared and tailored to your learning journey, or that of your child. In order to guarantee the quality of our tutoring, ensure the sustainability of our academy, and provide an optimal experience for all, these terms govern the use of our services.

 

​​1. Session Management, Cancellations, and Lateness

• Modification Deadline: Any request to reschedule or cancel a session must be made exclusively through your online client account at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Notifications sent via email, text message, or phone call will not be accepted.

• Late Cancellation: In the event of a modification or cancellation request received less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, the session will be considered due and will automatically be deducted from your package or course block.

• Lateness: Sessions begin exactly at the scheduled time. If a student is late, the session will still end at the originally scheduled time, with no extension. After a fifteen (15) minute delay without prior notice, the session will be considered canceled and non-refundable.

• Unnotified Absences: In the event of a no-show (absence without prior notice), the session is forfeited and will not be rescheduled.

• Mainalingua's Commitment: In the exceptional event that a session must be canceled by Mainalingua, it will be fully rescheduled at no additional cost.

2. Financial Terms and Credit Policy

Mutual commitment is essential to the success of our educational programs. As such, the management of packages and courses is subject to the following terms:

• Continuity of Services: Once the first lesson of a block or package has begun, access to the sessions is final. However, in the event of an unforeseen major circumstance preventing the immediate continuation of classes, the value of the unconsumed sessions may be converted into a client credit. This credit is transferable or usable for a validity period of three (3) months.

• Package Adjustments: Packages of ten (10) or twenty (20) lessons benefit from a preferential, volume-based discounted rate. If a permanent termination of services is requested and approved, the calculation of the value of the lessons already delivered will be based on our regular single-lesson rate. Any remaining balance calculated after this pricing adjustment may then be processed as a reversal to the original method of payment.

3. Code of Conduct and Learning Environment

To ensure a productive, safe, and respectful learning environment for everyone, parents and students are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Mutual Respect: Kindness is at the core of Mainalingua’s values. Participants (both adults and children) agree to maintain a courteous and respectful attitude toward the instructor and fellow students.

• Video Requirement: Unless explicitly agreed upon in advance, the student's camera must remain active throughout the duration of the session to ensure proper pedagogical interaction.

• Workspace: The student must sit in a quiet, well-lit, comfortable environment free from distractions to optimize their learning experience. Mainalingua reserves the right to temporarily mute audio or remove a participant from a session if their behavior or environment severely disrupts the proper flow of the class.

4. Technical Requirements and Liability

Participation in online classes requires a stable internet connection, as well as compatible and functional computer equipment (computer, tablet, microphone, and camera). Mainalingua cannot be held responsible for service interruptions, software malfunctions, or hardware failures occurring on the user's end. Sessions missed or shortened due to client-side technical issues will not be replaced or credited.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and educational resources provided or made accessible within the framework of the courses (including, but not limited to, lesson plans, worksheets, visual aids, and recordings) remain the exclusive intellectual property of Mainalingua. Any reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of these documents for commercial or public purposes is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization.

6. Modifications to Terms

Mainalingua reserves the right to modify these terms at any time to adapt to changes in its services. The terms applicable are those in effect on the website at the time of booking the lessons.
